LOL, don't use Hotmail to apply for a job...

Ooh, I love this...

"Hotmail users deemed too dumb for employment at firm

A guy, who works in the department of a Human Resources consultancy
company, says they made a selection process in which, among other
things, they asked for a person with ample experience in using the
internet (navigation, searches, formats...).

They received 50 candidacies, from which 30 came from Hotmail-directions, all of them erased as they entered.

The reason: You can't pretend being an internet expert and use a Hotmail account at the same time.

Heh. Definitively no "internet expert" would use Hotmail as the default e-mail application."

The Top 10 Worst PC's of All Time

My first computer falls at #5 on this list. It was only 12 years ago that I got it. I bought it second hand from a friend of my mom's. It wasn't so bad for someone pretty computer illiterate as I was at the time. I sure dissected that sucker to see how it ticked. Could've been worse - I could've been stuck with a Packard Bell (#1 on the list) as were several people I knew.

The PS/1 was IBM's second stab at creating a consumer PC for the masses, following the disastrous PCjr (#13 on our list of the all-time worst products), but it wasn't much of an improvement.

Among other brilliant moves, the original PS/1 featured a power supply inside the monitor, which made swapping out displays impossible, and it couldn't accept standard ISA cards, preventing upgrades. (Later models were more compatible.)

In 1994 IBM abandoned the PS/1 and tried again to capture the consumer market by introducing the Aptiva line, but this too was largely a disaster. IBM gave up the whole Aptiva idea in 2000.

Digg

I don't use Digg, nor have I done more than glance at it. I was reading an article on PC World's website about the 50 most influential people on the web, and check this out - Kevin Rose started Digg - he comes in as #32 in that article. How cool is that? The same Kevin Rose that was on Tech TV - on The Screensavers before it became Attack of the Show and went completely to gaming... and don't get me started. Kevin has some great web shows - Systm and The Broken. I had no idea he was behind Digg. I will have to give it more of a chance.

Recommended Movie

I wanted to see this movie since it first came out. I finally watched it last night. It's one of the better movies I've seen in a while.

"Karen Effiel is an author writing her latest novel about an isolated
man named Harold Crick. What she doesn't know is that her fictionalized
character is real. The real Harold Crick is an IRS agent who has lived
a dull existence and one day begins to hear Karen's voice as she
narrates what she puts on paper to what Harold has and is doing.
Because of this Harold enlists the help of a literary professor to find
out what is happening and ends up changing things about his life
including beginning a relationship with his IRS client, a
government-hating bakery owner named Ana Pascal. Harold, however, finds
trouble when he hears that Karen plans to kill him."

Burned Out

You Are 74% Burned Out

You are very burned out.
You need a huge break from your responsibilities, starting as soon as possible. And you need this time to reevaluate what you really want out of your life.

Because you're working hard and going no where... and that would burn anyone out!

This season's Idol n' stuff

I finally decided that my blog didn't have to be in the wrapper of my main site - so I'm using this cool new template. Guess I should've done that in the first place.

Watch Idol? Who doesn't? Who the hell votes for Sanjaya? I know Sundance had some rough weeks, but Sanjaya has been crap since he got there.

My picks:

Gina, Jordin, Blake, Sundance

Yeah, I know they won't win - the chick from Flint has a better chance, as do a couple others that I don't like very much. But, that's who I'm voting for. And, I have a Cingular cell now, so I am actually voting.
